Dennis Itumbi – I have spoken to Maribe, she will say what she knows


Secretary of Digital Innovation and Diaspora in the Office of the President Dennis Itumbi on Thursday disclosed that he had spoken to Jacque Maribe, after the arrest of her fiancé Joe Irungu.

In a statement he shared on his social media pages, Itumbi said he spoke to Ms. Maribe and she had agreed to tell her story to the police.
He added that he did not asked for more details on what was going on but she would tell the detectives what she knows about the whole incident.

Let me comment on the issues facing my good friend Jacque Maribe. I have spoken to her and she will obviously tell her story to the police. She will tell her story. I have not asked for details, those details belong to detectives am sure she will narrate what she knows and is sure about. From where I sit Jacque fell in love with a guy that connected with her whole being,” read part of Itumbi’s post.
Dennis Itumbi’s statement comes after reports said that Homicide detectives in the case were looking for Jacque Maribe to record a statement but they had no way to reach her.

The detectives said that her car was the one Irungu was driving the time he was reportedly seen at late Monica Kimani’s house.
Joe Irungu was arrested on Tuesday, for the alleged murder of Monica Kimani, who was found dead with her throat slit in a bathtub inside her house at Luciane Apartments, in Kilimani.
