Former Agriculture Cabinet Secretary Mwangi Kiunjuri has reacted to his recent sacking from the cabinet by President Uhuru Kenyatta.
He was speaking at Serena Hotel in Nairobi where he mentioned that he was not surprised by the president’s decision to fire him. Kiunjuri went on to say that he felt relieved after having a difficult year in 2019.
The President’s decision has taken me by no surprise, I thank God, I feel relieved, having on the recent past gone through a very difficult year that on a number of occasions drained my energy and resolveMwangi Kiunjuri
He says that he leaves the job with his head high and considers the sacking as a minor hurdle which he expects to overcome. In what seemed to be a threat, Kiunjuri promised to react to the recent turn of events.

Kiunjuri has now been replaced by Peter Munya who was the former CS of Trade, Industries and Cooperatives. The former agriculture CS was facing criticism from the public with them sarcastically thanking him for a job well done in the ministry.
