A section of Kasarani residents are decrying an illegal gang that has allegedly taken advantage of the strike situation and is terrorizing and stealing from residents.
The residents claim that the gang that is operating using guns and knives is attacking individuals who has started trekking as early as 4 am in order to catch buses to go to work.
Some say that the gang is forcing a section of people to pay before they can use the dilapidated roads that matatu operators are protesting against.
The most affected areas in Kasarani are Santon and Hunters areas.
