Newly Wed Couple Commits Suicide Over Wedding Debt

A newlywed couple in Kisumu has reportedly committed suicide 4 days after their wedding over huge debts.

Reports suggest that the couple, Mr and Mrs Odipo, left a note saying that they were stressed over the huge debt of Ksh 7.9 million that financed their wedding. The note also stated that they could not go to their honeymoon as planned.

They also blame the guests who attended the wedding for only coming to feast instead of showering them with gifts. It is reported that the couple ordered 3 choppers, two for the respective families and one for the couple itself.
