Njambi Koikai is thankful for being alive today. The endometriosis warrior returned back home a few months ago after she was hospitalised in the US, where she underwent several surgeries.
Njambi posted a touching story, summarizing how this decade has been tough for her and paid tribute to her grandmother, who raised her.
THIS DECADE HAS BEEN A ROLLERCOASTER FOR ME. BUT MOST IMPORTANTLY, GOD SHOWED UP FOR MY FAMILY AND I. I STILL MOURN MY LATE GRANDMA, IT’S PAINFULLY RAW TO LOSE SOMEONE WHO WAS PRESENT, VISIBLE, LOVING AND THE MATRIARCH TO OUR FAMILY. IT’S EMPTY WITHOUT HER. WE DEARLY MISS MUMMY,’
SHE WROTE IN PART.
Talking about endometriosis, which ravaged her body for 20 years, thanking well wishers who helped her settle her Sh10 million hospital bill.
I FOUGHT A DISEASE THAT’S CONSUMED ME FOR 20 YEARS. I FOUGHT SILENTLY FOR YEARS UNTIL IT GOT CRITICALLY AND ALMOST FATAL. I FINALLY GOT HELP.
I’M RECLAIMING MY TIME AND MY LIFE.
THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING, PRAYING FOR ME AND CHECKING ON ME. GOD BLESS YOU ALL ABUNDANTLY,’ SHE POSTED.
