This is the number of old 1000 Notes Collected - CBK's Njoroge Announces

About 209.7 million pieces of old Ksh1,000 notes were collected during the demonetization exercise, CBK Governor Patrik Njoroge revealed.
Speaking to journalists on Wednesday, Mr Njoroge said that the old notes that were collected will be punched and shredded into powder after the end of demonetization exercise.
According to the CBK Governor, some 7.4 million pieces were however not returned.
