Meru Senator, Mithinka Linturi‘s estranged wife, Marianne Kitany, has now claimed that her husband was a porn addict and that is one of the reason she divorced him.
Appearing before Milimani Commercial Court Chief Magistrate, Peter Ngare on Wednesday, Ms Kitany said one day she peeped at her husband’s phone and “found a woman had sent him a pornographic video”.
That discovery on top of being denied her conjugal rights, drove Ms Kitany into filing for a formal separation from the outspoken senator.
“I filed for divorce because Linturi was cheating on me,” Ms Kitany told the court, adding: “He slept with other women in town.”
“Linturi would come home late, and did not want to give me my conjugal rights,” said Ms Kitany.
Linturi and Kitany tied the knot in April 2016 after nearly two years of dating.
The couple first met each other in 2013 at Deputy President William Ruto’s office, where Ms Kitany worked as the chief of staff.
