Uganda's world boxing federation champion Moses Golola recently caused panic in his motherland's Parliament during a visit.
As the story goes, the boxer identified visited the Ugandan Parliament gallery on Tuesday, August 20, to follow proceedings just like other citizens.
According to NTV Uganda, female MPs felt uneasy and uncomfortable with his presence owing to his previous controversial declaration.
Apparently, Golola had earlier on proclaimed himself as a supernatural being who can simply make a woman pregnant by simply looking at her.
“I am a man, who can just look at a woman and she gets pregnant,” he once said.
The boxer did not know that his words would one day come back to haunt him until his visit to the parliament that forced female MPs to raise concern over his presence.
'Chaos' erupted in the House the moment Speaker Rebecca Kadaga announced Golola who was accompanied by his manager was among them.
Smiles and cheers rented the air with some female MPs urging the speaker to allow them to express their fears.
“Madam Speaker, you mentioned here that Moses Golola is in the gallery, and for us women we fear that we might get pregnant,” one of the female MPs said.
“I wonder if we are not at risk to proceed with a man who just looks at a woman and she becomes pregnant,” she added.
The MPs remarks cracked the Speaker who did not kick out the boxer but urged all female MPs not to look at the man for their own safety.
“What I can advise is that ladies should not look at him, you look elsewhere,” the Speaker said amidst laughter in the House.
