Uhuru Kenyatta’s photographer, Michael Khateli has released photos taken during the very exclusive VIP wedding of Bob Collymore and Wambui Kamiru in Naivasha.
Michael is known for taking the most viral photos of the commander in chief.
Bob met Kamiru, the founder of The Art Space gallery in Nairobi, during a fundraiser for survivors of the Loreto Convent Msongari school bus crash that occurred in July 2011.
Their romance kicked off.
They later tied the knot at the registrar’s office in Naivasha. What people don’t know is that the Naivasha wedding only had a total of 11 people. Among them was Juliani.
After the Naivasha wedding, the couple hosted an invite-only wedding, which took place at an upmarket residence in Kitisuru, was attended by the who is who in the industry.
Radio Africa CEO Patrick Quarcoo, Scangroup CEO Bharat Thakrar and top media personality Jeff Koinange were among those who witnessed the Safaricom CEO exchange vows with Wambui.
On Saturday Peter Kenneth, Alykhan Sachu, Bharat and Jeff Koinange had their last meeting with Bob.
Radio Africa CEO said, “He made us smile when he said, “I don’t know about this heaven and earth thing, but I truly hope there is a life after death.” We asked why. With a twinkle in his eye, he said, “If there are ghosts, I will come and rustle the curtains and on birthdays when you light the candles for my children, I will come and help blow them out.”
HE CALMLY TOLD US, “IF I GET THREE MORE DAYS, I WILL BE LUCKY.” WE ASKED WHAT WE MUST DO, SHOULD WE PART. “STAY TOGETHER, STAND BY WAMBUI,” HE SAID.
