In 2019, former Sports CS Rashid Echesa was caught up in a scandal that involved exotic dancers from Pakistan who had been allowed into Kenya illegally.
This was not the first time a Cabinet member was named in such a controversial saga.
Kenya's former Minister for Agriculture Bruce McKenzie was once caught trying to recruit sensual dancers for a club he owned in Nairobi.
According to Nation, McKenzie was part of a delegation that had travelled to West Germany.
He was also accompanied by Tom Mboya, (Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister) and James Gichuru (later Finance Minister).
As the other delegates were going about the business of negotiating Kenya's deals, the Federal Ministry of Foreign Affairs got wind that McKenzie had other plans.
When authorities in West Germany busted him they also reported the matter to their British Ambassador but was kept under wraps.
McKenzie had a reputation of being a mysterious and stealth politician.
Later after Kenya had acquired independence from Britain, he was uncovered to have been a spy with three different organisations.
He worked with BOSS of South Africa, MI6 of Britain and Mossad of Israel.
