An armed university student was shot and injured by police officers after he reportedly jumped over State House Fence.
According to witnesses, the suspect, identified as Brian Kibet Bera, was carrying a knife when he was caught by the authorities.
A report obtained from Kileleshwa Police Station showed that the suspect trespassed into State House by climbing over Gate Bravo and after getting challenged by the officers manning the Gate, he drew out his knife.
Capital FM reported that the assailant had previously posted a number of threats on Facebook.
Kibet, a student at JKUAT, reportedly tried to access the State House on Monday.
Brian Kibet Bera, 25, is a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering student.
Background research unearthed a Facebook account by the name, Brian Bera, that contained threatening messages to President Uhuru Kenyatta.
To justify his action, the owner of the account explained on June 9 that he would attack the State House as a means of passing judgement as he was instructed by God.
"To: Thief President Uhuru Kenyatta and his partners. Tomorrow I attack State House. God has sent me to execute judgement on every thief and every partner of a thief. From Prince Of Ethiopia, formerly called Brian Kibet Bera," read part of the message on the account.
