A man was stabbed to death after a scuffle over a barmaid at Taplotin Trading centre in Belgut sub-county, Kericho.
According witnesses Edwin Kipngetich was stabbed severally after picking quarrel with another patron at local bar frequently visited by prostitutes.
The Suspect in the murder was identified as Duncan Kipruto Rotich .
They had been on a drinking spree at Passion bar and restaurant.
Rotich drew a knife in the scuffle stabbing the deceased.
According to Belgut sub-county police commander Phillip Okello, the late died on the spot after bleeding profusely.
He said by the time the police officers arrived at the scene of the incident after distress call was made the deceased had already succumbed to his injuries.
Sources said the suspect was arrested while fleeing.
