A bishop has committed suicide in Lurambi village Kiungani Trans Nzoia county after he was allegedly denied food by his wife.
Bishop Emmanuel Nyongesa Simiyu, 45, of Mwamba Faith by Works Ministry aged hanged himself in his kitchen.
After coming home from a preaching mission on Saturday, May 4, Nyongesa arrived home hungry and fatigue but could not find a meal.
His wife reportedly refused to prepare and serve him the meals because he left no money to buy food.
Sources within the family told TUKO that the man God went to bed with an empty belly.
He, nonetheless, threatened to do something terrible that will shake the family and his congregation to the core.
"You have refused to give me food. You are going to see a terrible thing that will shake this family and my congregation," the bishop angrily thundered before he retired to bed
At 7am on the morning of Sunday, May 5, the man of God woke up and headed straight to the kitchen pretending to cook for himself.
It was his elder son who raised alarm to the family when he found the preacher's body hanging from the rafters.

"Where is the world taking us? Why should a man of God decide to end his life? It is a shocking happening. Who is going to look after his flock?," a neighbour shouted in disbelief.
The wife was numbed in shock and could not comment.
Baraton location chief Mildred Chesoli confirmed the incident but said they are yet to establish the motive of committing suicide.
"It is true the.bishop has committed suicide and the body has been removed to Kiminini cottage hospital but we are yet to establish why he took his life," said Chesoli.
Church service at his local church was were suspended after news spread that the bishop was no more.
Hundreds of his followers walked long distance to reach his home to witness the incident.
"At first I didn't believe that our bishop had killed himself. I decided to spend KSh 100 that was meant for food for my children to go and witness if indeed the bishop was dead'" said Grace Simiyu.
