United States Ambassador to Kenya Kyle McCarter issued an interesting response after he was questioned on associating with Deputy President William Ruto.
The commentator who asked the question christened Dr Ruto as the "high priest of corruption" while wondering whether Amb. McCarter was not concerned about it.
The diplomat responded by stating that the DP is in the right position to promote the priorities of the bilateral agreements between the two States.

"I will work w/all stakeholders in order to achieve peace, safety, and prosperity for both USA &Kenya. Hon DP Ruto has the ability & position to deliver this.
"Besides if I only worked with perfect people I would be very lonely, staying at home everyday with my imperfect self," the US envoy tweeted.

The envoy also responded to a distasteful tweet that implied he was intoxicated.
"What do you guys smoke in Chicago that gets you this high?" the reply by an ICT company's handle read.
McCarter diplomatically replied: "Not sure what you are talking about, dude. Corruption should not be tolerated in Kenya or Chicago. By the way I am not from Chicago."

The Ambassador had just tweeted about the war on corruption when the comments rolled in.
