A 24-year-old woman has been charged in court for unlawfully and intentionally inserting a toothbrush in her daughter’s private.
Naomi Kerubo Ndemo is accused of committing the indecent act on her four-year-old girl on diverse dates between 13th August and 24th October 2018, at Umoja area.
Police stated that Kerubo was living with another woman whom they were engaged in an intimate relationship with for an unknown period of time.
At some point, it is said, that the Kerubo asked for some money from her partner, who refused to give her the cash, leading to an argument.
Kerubo and her daughter were kicked out of the house and she sought refuge at her sister’s place.
The court heard that Kerubo’s daughter fell sick and when she was taken to hospital, the doctors discovered she had been sexually assaulted.
Upon interrogation, the minor confided that her mother had inserted a toothbrush in her vagina on different occasions.
This led to Kerubo’s arrest after the matter was reported to police.
She denied the charges and was set free on a Sh200,000 personal bond.
Her case was is set for hearing on May 30th.
