Betty Kyallo’s mum has opened up about her daughter’s life.
Speaking to Jalang’o, Betty’s mum, Julia Ngii, revealed that she would have loved if she became a doctor.
“I even thought she would be a teacher. We used to have a staircase in Kilimani. She would go up there with a mwiko and start teaching, ‘one, two, three…’ making a lot of noise. I knew, this one would be a teacher.”

Jalang’o then asked her mum what she disliked most about Betty and she made reference to a bad decision.
Maybe some of the footage explaining what the bad decision was, wound up in the editing table and will never see the light of day.
Betty’s mum said:
“I warned her sometime back but she didn’t listen and vitu zilikuja kuharibika.”
Betty at that point appeared sheepish and covered her face with her weave in embarrassment.The mum continued, “I could see ahead. I saw something [bad] ahead but she said ‘Ah mum. I’m okay!’. Sometimes it is good to listen.”
Was the mum referring to her short marriage and eventual divorce from Dennis Okari? Her much talked about affair with a swanky politician or her choice of career?
