Few weeks ago, lawyer Robert chesang was assannitated by highly trained gun men in Lukenya, Machakos County.
Police have finally found the motive of the murder
Chesang and his wife Maisy who is a magistrate, had domestic dispute court cases.
A senior police officer told the Star, “The motive was domestic violence between the deceased and his arrested wife, occasioned by fighting for property and leading to their cases appearing before courts. The wife felt that being a magistrate, she was being embarrassed by the cases being handled in courts,” the officer said.
Police have now unraveled how the brutal murder was planned.
A Senior ex NIS officer approached two police officers and offered them 181,000 each to murder Robert chesang.
icer lied to the officers that chesang was a wanted criminal who has disturbed the state very much and is wanted death or alive.
It is alleged that the ex NIS officer posed as an intelligence officer working for the State.
The two police officers thinking they were hunting down the most dangerous criminal started their mission.
They managed to trace Robert chesang house and kidnapped two watchmen and forced them to open the gate for them.
Robert chesang saw the commotion and locked himself in the house, He peeped through the window to see what's happening.
One of the police officers who is a sharp shooter immediately shot and instantly murdered him through the window.
Police have linked Robert chesang wife who is a magistrate in planning and executing the murder.
Today a Nairobi based OCS and his son were arrested in connection to the murder putting the number of people arrested to 7.
The OCS was arrested after it was found that the car used by the police men belonged to him.
