Police in Busia County have arrested an administration police officer who fatally shot his lover on Thursday, March 14.
Patrick Nyapara was arrested at the Kenya-Uganda border Saturday afternoon as he attempted to sneak into the landlocked country, Western regional commander, Rashid Yakub, has confirmed.
The suspect was an AP officer manning the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) offices in Navakholo, Kakamega County.
Mr Nyapara allegedly shot dead his 24-year-old lover Christine Maonga on Thursday, March 14. The incident happened at Duka Moja estate in Navakholo.
