South African Pastor Alph Lukau’s church has changed tune on his resurrection ‘miracle’ amid a probe by the Rights of Cultural, Religious and Linguistic Communities (CRL).
Alleluia Ministries International’s officials are now claiming that the ‘dead’ man, identified as a Zimbabwean named Brighton, was "already alive" when his "body" got to the church premises.
According to the church, Pastor Lukau had only "completed a miracle that God had already started,” reported Sowetan Live.

This comes amid a probe by the CRL into the ‘resurrection’ as the commission’s chairperson said Lukau will be summoned to explain himself.
"What we have decided is to allow for a section 7 investigation to take place. We will send out summons to Lukau and might summon the burial services where the person was allegedly kept.
“We need to find out how long he was in a mortuary, who declared him dead and where his death certificate is," Thoko Mkhwanazi-Xaluva, chairperson of the CRL said on Tuesday.
‘Dead’ man disappears
This comes after it emerged that Brighton, the man allegedly resurrected by Lukau has gone missing. According to Eyewitness News, the 29-year-old Zimbabwean who worked at timber a company in Pretoria last reported to work on 19 February.
Speaking to radio station 702, a caller who identified himself as Vincent claimed that it was not the first time Brighton was involved with Pastor Lukau.
Vincent, who said he's the owner of Vincent Amoretti PTY LTD where Brighton worked told listeners that Brighton previously helped the pastor by pretending to be wheelchair-bound and then standing up after Lukau prayed for him.
