Raila Odinga Junior on Wednesday called for the Kiambu Governor Ferdinand Waititu to support the legalisation of Bhang.
Through his twitter account, the son to ODM party leader Raila Odinga, requested Waititu to join the movement that seeks to have bhang legalised after the allegations made by Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko during Citizen TV’s JKLive show.
“Gov Sonko just made some allegations about Waititu. I think Gov Waititu should now join the movement of legalising Marijuana for medicinal purposes, if it gets successful there will be no more hiding,” remarked Odinga.
According to the Nairobi county boss, he had a gun with him but his director had stated that the politician had a power bank and not a fire arm.
Sonko's claims of Waititu smoking bhang
Sonko who had been put on the spot by Jeff Koinange, claimed that the Kiambu Governor and him (Sonko), used to smoke weed when Waititu was a Member of Parliament.
The controversial politician further alleged that the Waititu had stolen land in Embakasi during the time he was a law maker.
The governor who had been trolled about the use of the American accent, explained that he had wanted to impress the investors present during the meeting.
Sonko, who had once served as a senator, pointed out that he used to be a thief but had since reformed and gave back all that he had stole.
