Deputy President William Ruto on Thursday broke his silence over President Uhuru Kenyatta's Executive Order number one of 2019.
In a tweet on his verified handle, the DP asked all government officials to "align" themselves with the new directive.
"GoK officers at all levels should align their operations to the ORDER issued by H.E. the President setting up committees at county, regional,national (technical)and national (cabinet) for purposes of effective implementation of projects & programmes and efficient communication," the tweet read.
Controversy surrounding "Super CS" job
President Kenyatta issued the order on Tuesday evening outlining that CS Matiang'i would now report directly to the president.
Dr Matiang'i became the chair of a team comprising all Cabinet Secretaries, Attorney General, Kihara Kariuki, and Head of Public Service, Joseph Kinyua.
