Media personality Njambi Koikai has been through a lot in life. Njambi, who has been battling endometriosis is still recuperating in the USA after undergoing successful surgery.
She shared a photo looking weak in a wheelchair narrating her story (below).
MANY OF US SEEM OR FEEL LIKE WE WAKE UP EVERY MORNING BY DEFAULT. NO WE DON’T. GOD WAKES UP. HE SENDS US TO BED AND GUARDS US WITH HIS ANGELS. I’D ONLY GET TO SLEEP ON THAT CHAIR WHILE IN HOSPITAL. I HAD CRAZY NIGHT SWEATS. THOSE THREE BOXES ON THE WALKER WERE CONNECTED TO THE TUBES IN MY LUNGS AND CHEST AREA DRAINING WATER, BLOOD AND AIR OUT. I WAS IN DIAPERS. MY FEET WERE EXTREMELY SWOLLEN. I WAS ON MORPHINE AND OTHER HEAVY PAINKILLERS. THE MEDICATION WAS HEAVY. INJECTIONS AFTER EVERY OTHER HOUR. THE PAIN IS NOTHING I CAN EVER DESCRIBE. ALL I CAN SAY IS I’VE SURVIVED. THIS IS MY BEAUTIFUL STORY OF OVERCOMING AND BEATING ENDOMETRIOSIS AND THORACIC ENDOMETRIOSIS. I HOPE TO RAISE MORE AWARENESS ABOUT THIS DISEASE SO THAT WOMEN DON’T HAVE TO GO THROUGH WHAT I HAVE ENDURED.
