A Personal Assistant (PA) to Water Cabinet Secretary Simon Chelugui was on Thursday charged with sexual assault against a minor.
Reuben Kiborek was accused of defiling Chelugui's 16-year old daughter on Sunday at a popular five star hotel in Nakuru.
The CS's aide denied the charges and was released on a Sh300,000 bond.
Nakuru Resident Magistrate Yvonne Kathambi directed the case to be heard on January 18.
"Reuben kiborek, on the 23rd day of December 2018 at Sarova woodlands Hotel in Nakuru East within Nakuru county, intentionally and unlawfully caused your male genital organ namely PENIS to penetrate the Vagina of ***** a child aged 16 years," the charge sheet read.
Kiborek had spent three days in custody after Chelugui's family filed the defilement matter with the police.
The Nation had earlier reported that the family was reluctant to pursue the matter fearing the publicity the case would attract.
Chelugui, who unsuccessfully contested the Baringo senatorial seat in August last year, was appointed to the Cabinet in January this year.
