A 31 years old man found himself on the wrong side of the law for allegedly assaulting an ex-girlfriend for denying him make-up sex.
According to police records, Omar Mori Barete attacked the victim on October 1 at Clay Wave area in Kasarani Nairobi after their relationship went south.
On the said dates, the complainant who is a nurse is said to have attended a friend’s party when she was notified that a visitor back at her house wanted to see her.
She rushed home only to realise it was her ex-boyfriend Barete whom she had parted ways with over cruelty.
Police say: “Barete went on his knees asking for a second chance from his old lover promising to change his ways but the complainant dismissed him asking him to move on. She had started a new life in which Barete was not part of.”
The words, police believe, pricked the accused. He is believed to have demanded to sleep with the complainant-in front of his friend who was watching the developments - before he moved on.
“The accused further pulled (her) inside the house and towards the bedroom and tore her clothes but she screamed for help,” reads the charge particulars.
Neighbours responded to her distress call only to find Barete escape through the balcony emergency exit.
Barete denied the charge of assault levelled against him when he appeared before a Makadara court last week and was released on Sh70,000 cash bail.
