On Monday, a section of Jubilee leaders from Bomet County walked out of President Uhuru Kenyatta’s meeting protesting what they termed as being ignored by area Governor Joyce Laboso.
The leaders claimed that they were not allowed to air their grievances which included; The Mau Forest issue and slow pace in which Bomet University was being constructed.
The seven legislators then walked out of the event together with a host of Bomet Members of County Assembly and addressed the media, as they also held a rally in Bomet Town.

The Head of State was in Bomet on Monday where he officially opened the Lake Region Economic Block Investment Summit and also launched new machines at the Sotik KCC Plant, together with his Deputy William Ruto.
