President Uhuru Kenyatta on Friday confirmed Kanze Dena as State House Spokesperson and Head of the President's Strategic Communication Unit (PSCU).
Dena was in June appointed as the Deputy State House spokesman and deputy head of PSCU.
In July, President Kenyatta nominated Manoah Esipisu for an ambassadorial job and picked Dena to serve as State House spokesperson in an acting capacity.
The former Citizen TV anchor appears to have won over the confidence of her job as she was promoted after only three months on the job.
She has overseen the restructuring of the PSCU with various social media accounts being closed down and information being centralised around the President's personal twitter account.
However, her short tenure has not been free of controversy as the PSCU has on several occasions had to recall their press statements.
