Joseph Irungu alias Jowie and Jacque Maribe will be the topic of discussion for a pretty long time.
The two have endured media scrutiny for almost three weeks now after they were charged with the murder of slain Monica Kimani.
The big question a few weeks ago when NTV exclusively had an interview with Jowie’s parents was why they hid their identity.

This was after the Nation was concerned wondering where Jowie’s family is during this trying time. We have been seeing Jacque Maribe’s dad appear in court in support of his daughter and that video touched many Kenyans.
Up until yesterdays court hearing -that probably did not go as Jacque and Jowie anticipated- we had never seen Jowie’s friends or family in court to support him. A video of him crying after his mother hugged him is trending because at least now we know he has support.
Better late than never I guess.

The interview by Dennis Okari opened up a lot on where he was born and raised. Jowie is originally from Nakuru where his parents stay up to date.
A week ago, a classmate came out to reveal his Jowie’s age and we were all left in shock as trolls called him Jacque’s Ben 10.
Now that he has become a topic of discussion, many people have come out to speak on their relationship with Jowie.
One of his neighbours from his time back when he lived in Nakuru with his parents spoke to K24. Peter Kimani a resident of Nakuru and a Christian from Agape Church where Jowie led praise and worship is still in shock.

Peter recalls Jowie being one of the good boys. A boy he says used to lead a whole church in worship using the keyboard.
AKIWA LANGA LANGA SECONDARY SCHOOL, MIMI NAKUMBUKA AKIWA ANAONGOZA MPAKA WORSHIP KANISANI HATA KWA CU ALIKUWA ANAONGOZA. HE WAS A BORN-AGAIN CHRISTIAN. I STILL REMEMBER HIM LEADING NA KEYBOARD. HE WAS A GOOD BOY.
A good boy gone bad maybe? But Peter says that despite his role in the church, he could almost tell that Joseph Irungu would one day join politics because of his aggressive nature politically.
ALIKUWA AMEANZIA MAMBO YA SIASA KITAMBO BECAUSE THE BOY WAS SO MUCH AGGRESSIVE
That was how residents in Nakuru knew Jowie and so when the story of him being a suspect to the murder of Monica still remains a shock. Peter says he still questions his involvement in the death of Monica.
