A tragic train accident ended the dreams and the life a 19 year old pregnant girl who wanted to pursue a modeling career.
Fredzania Thompson died last Friday March 10th when a freight train struck her in Navasota, Texas, USA. She was in the middle of a modeling shoot on the tracks when a train approached.
The teen ended up stuck when she moved onto another track where another train was coming. She was not aware there was a Union Pacific train approaching in the opposite direction and ended up stuck. The photographer was not hurt in the accident.
The freight train that hit Thompson had 101 cars carrying grain, it was travelling at a high speed and couldn’t stop in time to avoid hitting the teen.
Union Pacific spokesman Jeff De Graff told the Navasota Examiner that the train crew had alerted them with the horn as they approached and began the emergency stop process.
The young model was engaged to her 25-year-old boyfriend Darnell Chatman, the couple had just recently found out they were expecting a child together and was four weeks pregnant at the time of the tragedy.
The deceased would have turned 20 on Monday March 13th. She was a student at Blinn College but wanted to put her education on hold to pursue modeling.
