11 Dead in a Tragic Bus Accident at Gilgil

Eleven people died on Saturday night after a bus collided head-on with a truck at Sogea along the Naivasha-Gilgil highway.

The driver of the bus is among those who perished in the grisly accident.

The accident also claimed twelve casualties who have been evacuated to Nakuru Provincial General Hospital.

According to area OCPD Emmanuel Opuru, the bus was trying to overtake another vehicle when it collided with the truck coming from the opposite direction.

The bus belonging to Climax Sacco was heading to Nairobi from Vihiga while the trailer was heading to Nakuru from Naivasha.
